Whenever you are cleaning black mold or any type of mold in your home, be sure to cover as much skin as you possibly can. Old clothes are best as they can be thrown away when the job is completed. Many choose to purchase a protective suit instead. No matter what you choose to wear, it is best to throw it away by sealing it in a plastic bag before you leave the area being treated. This prevents mold spores from clinging to your clothes and spreading themselves to other areas of the home.

When cleaning black mold, these spores can attach to them and be spread in the same manner. You may also wish to install an air purifier in the area where you are working to help trap these spores. Be sure to change the filter regularly so the machine does not redistribute the spores.

Mold cleaners may then be used to treat them along with the portion of the house you are treating. Complete the process and use the air purifier again to clean any spores remaining in the area. By doing so, you can prevent the spread of black mold in your home and save yourself a lot of trouble and headache.
